Rio Linda Christmas light installation tends to mean a house set well back from the road, a long gravel or paved drive, a fence out front, and maybe a barn or shop that deserves a little glow of its own. The cord has to reach all of it. We come up Rio Linda Boulevard from downtown Sacramento all through the season, and the whole plan gets worked out on a phone call. Call (916) 313-4551 and we’ll work out a number together.
First stretch up Rio Linda Boulevard
Driving up from the city, the first stretch we reach is Southwest Rio Linda, with its old acreage lots around Main Avenue and Rio Linda Boulevard. Lots are big here, and houses often sit a good distance off the street. That changes the whole plan. A roofline by itself can nearly vanish from the road, so we like to bring something bright out front where people passing actually see it: lights along the front fence, stakes lining the drive, or a wrapped tree near the mailbox.
A lit fence line does more on a rural lot than most people expect. A lit run of fence tells everyone driving by that the house is dressed up, even if it sits a hundred yards back. Our fence line lighting page shows a few ways we do it.
Ranch houses, shops and barns
A lot of homes in Rio Linda are 1940s and 50s ranch houses on generous lots, with some newer infill mixed in. Low single-story rooflines are easy to outline. We clip every bulb to the gutter or shingle edge, and our fasteners pop off clean in winter, leaving your fascia and shingles the way we found them.
Metal shops and barns need a different touch. We use clips and fasteners that suit the siding and trim, and we always ask where the nearest outlet is before we promise anything. Some outbuildings out here have power and some don’t, and it’s better to sort that out on the phone than on install day.
Spreading power across a big property
On a big lot, one plug by the front door won’t cover the gate, the drive and the tree out by the road. We map your outdoor outlets, split the load across circuits so nothing trips, and run heavy outdoor cord along fences and bed edges where the dog and the mower won’t catch it. Then everything goes on timers. The display wakes up at dusk and switches off later without anybody walking out to the road at bedtime.
Downtown Rio Linda and the M Street blocks
Around M Street and Front Street, near Depot Park, lots get a little tighter and small businesses mix in with houses. Those older blocks look right with simple, classic touches: a lit wreath on a shop door, garland along a porch rail or storefront beam, pillar wraps on the posts holding up a front porch. For shop owners, it works just like a house. We bring the lights, hang them, keep them working and take them down.
Rio Linda East, Elverta and the homes along Dry Creek
Rio Linda East is horse property country, with spacious lots and a rural feel. Wide front pastures are made for a lit fence line or a row of stakes marching up the driveway. Every stake gets placed around your sprinklers and irrigation, and well out of the spot where the horse trailer swings around. North toward Elverta the lots stay roomy, and homes near Dry Creek often have tall, established shade trees. Big trunks wrap beautifully. We spiral the lights around each trunk and carry them onto the first big branches, so the tree’s shape reads clearly from the road.
Rio Linda Christmas light installation, booked by phone
Call (916) 313-4551 and tell us about the place: how many acres, where the gate is, any outbuildings, and which trees you love. A few phone photos of the frontage help, and the quote is free. When install day comes, every bulb and cord arrives in our truck, and we handle the climbing ourselves. A strand fizzles out mid-season? Ring (916) 313-4551 and somebody heads your way. Once January rolls around, our crew returns, unhooks it all and loads it on the truck, which means your roof is bare before spring and the barn stays free of storage bins.
We work North Highlands and Antelope most weeks in December, and Rio Linda is a short hop up the road from both. Read about how we wrap trees, or tell us about your acreage through our contact page.
